Wise moves are being made by cities like Brookhaven and Chamblee with the plans for future trails and park land. The City of Chamblee has acquired approximately 10 acres of green space between N. Shallowford and N Peachtree Roads, along Nancy Creek.

“The site’s proximity to Nancy Creek prevents any viable commercial or residential use, but its development as a park or trail amenity could positively affect the redevelopment of Savoy Drive and increase neighborhood connectivity,” said Mayor Eric Clarkson.

Eventual trail plans between Doraville, Chamblee, Brookhaven and Buckhead will connect to the Path400 and the Atlanta Beltline.

One day you may be able to walk ( that would be one LONG walk) or bike from Chamblee to the Beltline!
