I had the pleasure of attending the Kickoff Party and Silent Auction last evening at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter. First off, the hotel did and outstanding job with the ballroom and a delish buffet of salad, vegetables, mac ‘n cheese, potatoes, chicken and roast brisket along with pecan pie and red velvet cake for dessert. I was stuffed!!
The Silent Auction was HUGE! I mean there was everything from jewelry and art to restaurant packages and antique dishes and even an old school Desk! I was conservative and bit on some antique china plates that I’ll actually use for everyday use if I won the auction. (When I left, I was high bidder on these!) There was also a LIVE auction, and it was great! There was some serious bidding on items like a Yeti Cooler filled with more Yeti stuff, a dinner at a local resident’s home, and a couple ticket packages to the Atlanta Braves.
