The City of Chamblee 2017 Annual Report highlights the accomplishments and advancements that have happened in the city in 2016.
Some highlights from the report include the purchase of property in the historic center of Chamblee for a dedicated Town Center. Along with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the city owns the largest tract of land in the Downtown Chamblee area, and plans are now under way to develop a unique Town Center with retail, restaurants and more living options for those looking to call “The Center of the Universe” home.

The City of Chamblee has expanded their park system with the addition of the 24-acre Dresden Park, and recently announced plans to purchase additional land along Buford Highway for more green space.
Also in 2016, the City of Chamblee took over the maintenance of approximately 76 miles of roads from DeKalb County. More than 40 streets were patched using some 7,000 square yards of asphalt at a cost of $582,000.
The Chamblee Police Department, with its 67 sworn officers helps keep crime at a minimum and gives the residents of Chamblee piece of mind!
In 2017, Mayor Eric Clarkson was re-elected to another 4-year term as Mayor of Chamblee. Two City Council Members, Brian Mock and John Mesa ran unopposed for their Council seats.
