As the City of Chamblee makes continued strides in developing its Downtown area, they are asking resident for their input when the Mid-City Stroll Comes to Chamblee!
What is the Mid-City Area of Chamblee?
The area currently being looked at for improvements is the Peachtree Road ( Not Peachtree Blvd, and not New Peachtree Road…..) but Peachtree Road which runs from the new Chamblee Gateway Mural to the City Limits with Doraville near the Assembly Doraville and Third Rail Studios. The project includes a Peachtree Road Streetscape design that will best determine solutions for roadway, sidewalk and other amenities along the Peachtree Road corridor in the heart of Downtown Chamblee. Also under consideration are extensions to the Chamblee Rail Trail.
The project faces a challenge as much of Peachtree Road is bounded by the railroad and MARTA tracks on one side, and existing buildings on the other side.
